Political Killings

When I reached the apartment last night, i felt so sad and helpless and hopeless after reading my mom's text message." What is the difference between Egg and Balut?" With this she reminded me of a Man who bravely stood up and spoke in front of hundreds of people gathered last Saturday night, May 8, 2010 in the plaza of Tacurong City to witness and show support to the "meeting de avanci" of one of the political party seeking for the different local positions. ." What is the difference between Egg and Balut?" sounds funny yet resulted yesterday to an ambush and caused a bloody death of one Man and put the life of his child in danger, a man who luckily won and ranked 3rd as Board Member in the Province of Sultan Kudarat. ." What is the difference between Egg and Balut?"this statement did not only caused the sudden death of one man who seek for nothing but fair and Christ like governance in all the constituents of the Province, but brought fear to the many as well. ." What is the difference between Egg and Balut?"a statement which was shouted out loud by a Man whose intention was to awaken both Christians and Muslims of the reality that is currently happening in the province." What is the difference between Egg and Balut?" might have caused our laughters few days ago, but now caused the heartbreak of his love ones he left behind. When will this political killings end? Will justice be served to this man after justice denied and justice delayed for the many other victims of political killings? I hope that the life of this man fighting for the common good of thousands of people will not be buried in death forever.

Lake Sebu

Dec. 28, 2008 - after our wedding in tacurong we went to Lake Sebu together with our relatives and co-faculty teachers. it was a trip worth to remember, we were so amazed by the beauty of Lake Sebu that most of us vowed to return and enjoy the falls again.

Had it not for our adventurous spirits we would have left thatplace without taking a dip in that wonderful falls because in order for you to get to the bottom of the falls itself you have to get down a small cliff because there was no stairs going down, if there was it must have been destroyed sometime ago... imagine going down that cliff with only the root of a small plant as a hand grip and a small indention in the clay as a foot hold, one slip and you will be saying hello to the big rocks below.... then you have to navigate thru a lot of loose rocks for you to proceed to the water itself... although it has not been developed very much but there are a few cottages selling souvenir t-shirts and other food.

one thing that i'd like to do is go back there and buy some of their decorative batik, beads, or bamboo products, not to mention the 'tilapia' cuisines that would surely give you a taste of nature...

i just hope that the people there would maintain the pristine forest that surrounds the place because it adds to the allure of the place. i hope that would not come to a point that it would be so commercialized that its uniqueness as a place to go when in need of relaxation besides going to the beach...

this are some of the pictures taken from that place.
